What Happened to Taco Bell's Dollar Menu?
A TacoBellMenuOnline guide — every figure below comes from our dataset of sampled prices and published nutrition (compiled October 2026).

The Dollar Menu did not die — it got renamed, repriced and rebuilt, twice. If you remember when everything on Taco Bell's value line cost a single dollar, this is the full timeline of what happened next, and what the value menu is called today. Every current item below links to its own data page with sampled prices and the published nutrition panel.
2014: Dollar Cravings launches
On 18 August 2014, Taco Bell launched a value menu called Dollar Cravings, replacing the older Why Pay More line: thirteen items, every one priced at one dollar (Taco Bell, via Wikipedia's sourced history). For a generation of customers, this is the menu the phrase "dollar menu" still means.
2018–2019: Dollar Cravings becomes the Cravings Value Menu
As prices on some items rose, the line was renamed and rebuilt as the Cravings Value Menu — formally replacing Dollar Cravings on 27 December 2018. The concept moved from "everything $1" to tiered value pricing ($1/$2/$3), which is exactly when the old certainties started to blur: the value menu still existed, but the dollar menu, as a name and a price, was gone.
2024: the $3-or-less refresh
On 11 January 2024 the Cravings Value Menu was overhauled again — ten items, all $3 or less, marketed as "full-size menu items for $3 or less" (Fast Food Post). This refresh is the one that added the Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito, the Double Stacked Taco and the 3 Cheese Chicken Flatbread Melt to the value conversation, and it set the template the current menu still follows.
2026: the Luxe Value Menu
On 22 January 2026, Taco Bell replaced the Cravings Value Menu with the Luxe Value Menu (official newsroom announcement; Rewards members got early access from 16 January). Ten items, all $3 or less: five new (Avocado Ranch Chicken Stacker, Beefy Potato Loaded Griller, Chips and Nacho Supreme Dip, Mini Taco Salad and the limited-time Salted Caramel Churros) and five returning favourites (Cheesy Roll Up, Spicy Potato Soft Taco, Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito, 3 Cheese Chicken Flatbread Melt and Cheesy Double Beef Burrito). Taco Bell also said new items would rotate into the Luxe menu through the year rather than the lineup staying fixed — so the roster above is the launch roster, and the value menu page tracks whatever it becomes.

The honest summary: the value menu never left, but it stopped being a dollar menu a decade ago. Today's version is a $3-and-under line plus the $5/$7/$9 Luxe Boxes (covered on the deals page) — and the full under-$3 universe, all 48 items of it, is sorted by price on the value menu page.
About this guide's data
Every figure in this guide comes from one dataset: sampled Taco Bell prices and published nutrition, compiled and verified in October 2026 (prices are re-checked monthly, and every data page carries its verification stamp). Rankings state their rule in the open and are computed from those rows — never voted on, never estimated. Where a value is missing it is shown as missing, and each named item links to its own page, where the full label, allergen record and sampled price range can be checked. Prices vary by location; nutrition values are the published figures for the standard build.
