No — Taco Bell has not offered a kids menu in over a decade. On July 23, 2013, Taco Bell announced it would discontinue kids' meals and toys at its U.S. restaurants, phasing them out from July 2013 and gone nationwide by January 2014 — the first national quick-service chain to do so. The kids' meals themselves had run since 1995 (the Kids' Fiesta Meal dates to 1987). What families order instead is the point of this page: the four items from the old kids' menu never left the regular menu, and the table below is what to order now, with real prices and panels.

Why it ended

Chief executive Greg Creed said it plainly in the announcement: "kid's meals and toys simply no longer make sense for us to put resources behind." The release said the kids' meals had "an insignificant impact on system sales" and were "not part of Taco Bell's long-term brand strategy" — the resources went to new menu items instead. The Center for Science in the Public Interest praised the move as a step against marketing toys to children, while cautioning that dropping the kids' menu could lead parents to order higher-calorie meals off the regular menu — a caution this page takes seriously, which is why the table above leads with the smallest items.

What was on the kids' menu

The press release named the items that would remain available individually on the regular menu: the Crunchy Taco, the Soft Taco, the Bean Burrito and the Cheese Roll-up (now the Cheesy Roll Up). Those four are still the core of a family order: small, mild, and — at $1.44 to $2.59 sampled — cheaper than any bundled kids' meal the chain ever sold. The meal also used to include chips, Cinnamon Twists, a drink and a toy; the food parts survive, the toy does not.

How to order for kids now

One: order à la carte, not as a bundle — there is no kids' bundle price to beat, so build the meal from the table above. Two: keep it mild by default — skip the hot sauce packets, ask for no jalapeños, and let the cheese and beans do the work; the Soft Taco at 180 calories and the Cheesy Roll Up at 180 calories are the mildest substantial items on the menu. Three: size the meal to the child — a Bean Burrito (360 Cal, 13g protein) is a full small meal, while a Cheesy Roll Up plus Cinnamon Twists is a snack, not a meal. Four: the drink matters more than the food — a regular Freeze adds 150–300 calories; the zero-calorie drinks guide lists the drinks that add none. The calculator totals the whole family order before you buy it.

About this guide's data

Every figure in this guide comes from one dataset: sampled Taco Bell prices and published nutrition, compiled and verified in October 2026 (prices are re-checked monthly, and every data page carries its verification stamp). Rankings state their rule in the open and are computed from those rows — never voted on, never estimated. Where a value is missing it is shown as missing, and each named item links to its own page, where the full label, allergen record and sampled price range can be checked. Prices vary by location; nutrition values are the published figures for the standard build.
