August 20 – September 16, 2026: the #TBTB menu
The Decades #TBTB menu ran from August 20 to September 16, 2026, and Taco Bell's own Decades promotion page now states plainly: "The Decades Menu is no longer available." The four items were the Naked Chicken Chalupa at a $5.99 launch MSRP (430 Cal, 19g protein), the Beefy Crunch Burrito at $2.79 (450 Cal, 13g), the MexiMelt at $2.99 as reported in launch coverage (270 Cal), and the Caramel Apple Empanada (280 Cal, 3g protein) — whose price no source in our record published, so it is shown as not recorded rather than guessed. All four keep full archive pages with their nutrition panels and an "LTO ended September 2026" availability note.
The Beefy Crunch Burrito: the throwback that keeps coming back
Of the four, the Beefy Crunch Burrito has the longest throwback history. Taco Bell introduced it on December 21, 2010 — seasoned beef, rice, nacho cheese, sour cream and Flamin' Hot Fritos in a flour tortilla — and it vanished in May 2011. Fans petitioned, and it returned in nationwide runs in 2016 and 2018 before its 2026 Decades outing. It is the programme's proof of concept: a cult item that never holds a permanent slot but never quite dies either.
The earlier Decades menus
The programme ran earlier outings — a Decades menu in 2024 and a Y2K menu in 2025. What a throwback return costs
The 2026 menu's prices were the story as much as the items: $2.79 and $2.99 for two of the four items, at a moment when the sampled price of a regular burrito runs well past $4. The next Decades outing has no announced date; the pattern so far is roughly one outing a year.
